Completely forgot about this. War Horse is Steven Spielberg’s latest adaption of the successful London play about a Devon born horse used in the first world war. I mention it as, it looks superb, but then I’m biased as it was largely filmed in Devon.
Any film, let alone a blockbuster, filmed with Dartmoor as the backdrop gets my full attention. I remember a few people telling me that Spielberg was filming last August around there, although I never saw it. It would be pretty hard to stuff up a cinematic film set in Dartmoor – the place just films itself.
