This snippet of a 2005 video by Anri Sala called The Long Sorrow. It’s part of an argument made by Fried, and the fact that even Fried himself is so surprised that video could hold the same convicton as a Modernist painting.
And yeah … I’ll be tying this into algorithmic art. My explanation for doing so is a lazy haze, hastily made into words.
